The Symbol of the Wolf

The wolf pack exists similarly to the classic nuclear family. The alpha Male chooses a female as a monogamous partner. They mate for life and build a family together. When the female gives birth to her litter, the male immediately takes on the role of protector and hunter, guarding his family against predators and braving the wild to bring food back to their den. He takes on the role of mentor to his children, while also putting their needs above his own and giving them whatever food he can provide. He is even playful at times, wrestling with the cubs and letting them pretend to win. The wolf symbolizes a protector, a providor, a father and a mentor to his family.
